Welcome to our workshops.

In a workshop located near Naples, our collections are meticulously crafted. Specializing in luxury leather goods, this workshop was established in the early 1980s by Dino Levorino, a highly respected artisan leatherworker in Italy renowned for his craftsmanship. We are in daily contact with his son, Gennaro, to discuss production and brainstorm the development of new models. More than just a manufacturing workshop, they are true partners who believe in our project, our products, and our vision for the Léo and Violette brand since its inception.

01.

The leather cutting process

The first step in crafting a bag, after meticulously selecting the leather hides, is hand-cutting the various panels of the bag, taking into account the natural characteristics of the leather.

02.

The assembly

The pieces are positioned together using adhesive. This process is delicate, as the pieces must be aligned precisely according to the pattern. Any excess adhesive is removed by hand to avoid unsightly overflow. Once assembled, the bag is stitched together.

03.

Edge dyeing

The raw leather edges are all hand-dyed, a particularly lengthy and meticulous process.

04.

The metal pieces

Finally, the snaps, metal decorations, and other ornaments that contribute to the bag's aesthetics are added.

05.

The finishing touches

Finishing is the operation that completes the making of the leather bag. Artisans then meticulously inspect for any irregularities and minor defects with their expert eyes.

06.

The packaging

Then, the accessory is prepared for shipping. The preparer adds padding to create volume and wraps everything in tissue paper.

A work team

Overall, the design of a bag involves many hours of work and over a dozen artisans. This meticulous, manual, and artisanal work is what makes each piece of leather goods you find at Léo and Violette unique.
